- Read up as much as you can on the countries you will visit for leisure, etc.,and on the Culture, Customs, Life styles ( eating, recreation, schooling, family life, music, etc) Religion or Religions, History, Geographical settings, Politics, Government... of the peoples of the countries you will be going to.
You can visit libraries, Research all this online ( through many Search Engines), access the many Official and unofficial sites of countries that have these as well as Travel Agencies, Tours, etc.
And if you will live and/or work in a country for some time you might want to order a book or books of your choice from, arguably, the world's largest international bookstore:

- If you can, try to learn a bit of the principal language of the country by trying to speak some of the most common and courteous phrases relating to greetings, showing appreciation, bidding farewell,etc., especially when you encounter those who do not speak your own language.
- Then what about being somewhat of a naturalist and anthropologist and show interest in and try to learn about the land and the peoples? I have done this in many countries and I have become more knowledgeable and I have come away with a feeling of contentment words cannot describe.
- Get to know the people as much as you can; seek to learn more about them by listening and asking polite questions.
- Be prepared to answer many questions in a factual and fair manner about your own country and show tolerance when you might be challenged on certain issues.
- Show love for your own country and its good points but also show appreciation and respect for other countries.
To be a good spokesman or an ' Ambassador ' of your own country you should feel duty bound to uderstand and to explain your own country in terms of its Government structure, History, Religion ( most likely Religions), Geography,
Customs, Life-style (s), Educational structure, etc.
- In your personal life you will most most likely be able to practice outwardly your own religion or you can do so in the privacy of your home, etc.
- In most countries in which I have worked and lived and/or visited I have tried to taste the many local cuisines - often with relish!
- Then with some time and some money you can take in the wonderful tours available in most countries.
At home I have a wonderful book entitled " The 100 Wonders of the World " .
This covers all the Continents; to some there are five but to others there are seven Continents.
As I look over the dozens of lovely pictures and the factual descriptions of these 100 Wonders and the countries in which they are located I am so thrilled to recognize so many of them and I recollect with fond memories of the times when I was amongst these wonderful creations by man and by Nature.

In this world of ours I maintain that one need never feel alone and I wish to set forth my reasons for taking this position.
I like to think I have reached the afternoon of my life.

- Read up as much as you can on the countries you will visit for leisure, etc.,and on the Culture, Customs, Life styles ( eating, recreation, schooling, family life, music, etc) Religion or Religions, History, Geographical settings, Politics, Government... of the peoples of the countries you will be going to.
You can visit libraries, Research all this online ( through many Search Engines), access the many Official and unofficial sites of countries that have these as well as Travel Agencies, Tours, etc.
And if you will live and/or work in a country for some time you might want to order a book or books of your choice from, arguably, the world's largest international bookstore:

- If you can, try to learn a bit of the principal language of the country by trying to speak some of the most common and courteous phrases relating to greetings, showing appreciation, bidding farewell,etc., especially when you encounter those who do not speak your own language.
- Then what about being somewhat of a naturalist and anthropologist and show interest in and try to learn about the land and the peoples? I have done this in many countries and I have become more knowledgeable and I have come away with a feeling of contentment words cannot describe.
- Get to know the people as much as you can; seek to learn more about them by listening and asking polite questions.
- Be prepared to answer many questions in a factual and fair manner about your own country and show tolerance when you might be challenged on certain issues.
- Show love for your own country and its good points but also show appreciation and respect for other countries.
To be a good spokesman or an ' Ambassador ' of your own country you should feel duty bound to uderstand and to explain your own country in terms of its Government structure, History, Religion ( most likely Religions), Geography,
Customs, Life-style (s), Educational structure, etc.
- In your personal life you will most most likely be able to practice outwardly your own religion or you can do so in the privacy of your home, etc.
- In most countries in which I have worked and lived and/or visited I have tried to taste the many local cuisines - often with relish!
- Then with some time and some money you can take in the wonderful tours available in most countries.
At home I have a wonderful book entitled " The 100 Wonders of the World " .
This covers all the Continents; to some there are five but to others there are seven Continents.
As I look over the dozens of lovely pictures and the factual descriptions of these 100 Wonders and the countries in which they are located I am so thrilled to recognize so many of them and I recollect with fond memories of the times when I was amongst these wonderful creations by man and by Nature.
